Review of Bushcare Program Guidelines

The revised Guidelines provide information on:

• bushland and biodiversity in North Sydney
• how the Bushcare program operates
• roles and responsibilities of volunteers and staff
• safe work practices and supervision
• training, expectations
• Code of Conduct requirements.

The Guidelines were last updated in 2010 and have now been revised to reflect:

• the current Work Health and Safety requirements
• Child Safe obligations
• Council's Volunteer Code of Conduct
• clarified roles, responsibilities and safe work practices

Community feedback will help Council finalise a document that supports a safe and rewarding Bushcare program.

We are particularly interested in hearing from:

• current Bushcare volunteers
• former volunteers
• people interested in volunteering
• local residents and community members.
