North Sydney Council is seeking public comment on a proposed road name for an unnamed road located between 39 and 41 McLaren Street, North Sydney.

Proposed name: Gamarada Place

Council approved the name ‘Faith Bandler Place’ in 2022 but this name did not meet Geographic Names Board guidelines, and the name was never authorised. In the Council meeting on 24 March 2025 Council approved the proposed name for public exhibition.

The proposed name reflects the historical and cultural significance of its connection to North Sydney. Further information on this subject is located in the report to Council dated 24 March 2025. Gamarada Place has been pre-approved by the Geographical Names Board.
