Consultation closed on 22 March 2026

In response to residents’ concerns about the limited availability during weekends, Council is considering a proposal to extend the operating hours of existing timed parking on High Street.

The proposal would change the current kerbside timed parking from “2P, 8:30am–6pm Mon–Fri, Permit Holders Excepted Area 2” to “2P, 8:30am–10pm Mon–Sun, Permit Holders Excepted Area 2”, which is consistent with nearby streets in the area.

Extending timed parking hours is intended to increase parking turnover and enhance overall availability. A sketch of the proposed changes is provided in the document library.
