In response to residents’ concerns about the limited availability of space to park private vehicles on public streets, Council is considering a proposal to introduce 2-hour timed parking on Echo Street and Lumsden Street.

The proposal is to change the kerbside use, currently unrestricted, to “2P, 8:30am-6:00pm MonFri, permit holders excepted Area 18”.

The proposed change is intended to minimise the impact of unrestricted parking and increase theavailability of street space for vehicle parking, consistent with other streets in the area. A sketch of the proposed changes is provided in the document library.
