The policy applies to Councillors, employees and other persons acting on behalf of Council who raise, administer, monitor or recover debts owed to Council.
No. The policy does not introduce new fees or charges. It establishes the framework for how existing debts owed to Council are managed and recovered.
The policy recognises that some debtors may experience vulnerability or genuine financial hardship and provides for consideration of support measures in accordance with Council's Financial Hardship Policy and applicable legislation.
Yes. All submissions received during the exhibition period will be reviewed and considered before the policy is presented back to Council for adoption.
